Truly, they are. I see saying/using memes as the “funny” equivalent to all caps talk if you want to sound cool. The only reason you should ever use a meme in real life, is if it immediately pertains to the situation you’re in.
If people knew where half the memes they spout on a daily basis now came from, then they wouldn’t say them. They would think of them and say “oh god I’m going to have nightmares” not “Lolololol I just trolled you soooooo hard”
This shit makes me rage harder than hell and it’s amazing that nobody understands that they sound like a complete idiot, who has no sense of humor or creativity when they use them all the time. It’s almost like they can’t come up with their own jokes, and these memes are their crappy one-liners.
Also, I would like to add, that if you plan on “trolling” that you should look back two years and remember what a troll was. They were complete assholes for the sake of a laugh. That’s still what it is today, so saying you’ve “trolled” someone is like saying that you were intentionally an asshole to someone so you could laugh at their rage and misfortune. You know what that sounds like? A Dick. And that’s what you are.
